The playground opens at 8:15am, the doors are open from 8.30am with the registers taken at 8.45am

Reception – Y2 pupils need to be supervised in the playground by their parents/rotas/carers.

Any pupils arriving after 8.45am will be marked as late and must be taken to the school office by the adult bringing them to school to be signed in.  

Any pupils arriving after 9.00am will be marked as an unauthorised absence.

Reception – Y2 ends at 3:30pm; Y3 & Y4 end at 3:45pm.

After school clubs end as advised for each club.

AUTUMN TERM 2016 (66 pupil days and 2 INSET days)
Thursday 1st September 2016 – Tuesday 20th December 2016
Thursday 1st September : INSET DAY – no school for pupils
Friday 2nd September : INSET DAY – no school for pupils
Monday 5th September : Term begins for pupils at 8.30am*, gates open from 8.15am
Monday 3rd October : Rosh Hashanah – school closed
Tuesday 4th October : Rosh Hashanah – school closed
Wednesday 5th October : Fast of Gedaliah – school open as usual
Tuesday 11th October : Erev Yom Kippur – school closes after lunch
Wednesday 12th October : Yom Kippur – school closed
Monday 17th October - : School closed for Succot
Wednesday 26th October (incl) : School closed for half-term including all of Succot
Thursday 27th October : Children return to school at normal time after the Succot break
Tuesday 20th December : Last day of term - school closes after lunch

Monday 2nd January (incl) : Winter holiday (including Chanukah)

*Half of the Reception class attends school Monday 5th September 2015 and half attends school Tuesday 6th September 2015. Families will be advised after the summer half-term 2016 which day their children will start the Reception class.

Monday 13th March : Shushan Purim – children wear fancy dress to school
Wednesday 5th April : Last day of term - school closes after lunch

Thursday 20th April inclusive : Pesach holiday

Tu B’Shvat falls on a Shabbat in 2017. Purim is on a Sunday (Sunday 12th March). School will not be open but there is likely to be a Dunstan Road Synagogue Purim evernt to which all Rimon Primary children are invited.

SUMMER TERM 2017 (62 pupil days)
Thursday 20th April 2017 – Wednesday 26th July 2017

As per the attendance policy, no holidays can be authorised for pupils in Y2 during the first half of the summer term prior to and during statutory assessment periods. Y1 children will also need to be in school during the Phonics Screen week which is predicted to be in June 2017 but the date of the test week has not yet been published.

Friday 21st April : Term begins for pupils at 8.30am, gates open from 8.15am
Monday 29th May to
Friday 2nd June inclusive : Half term – school closed (including Shavuot)
Tuesday 11th July : 17th Tamuz (fast day) school open as usual
Tuesday 25th July : Last day of term for pupils - school closes after lunch
Wednesday 26th July : Staff INSET day – no pupils in school
During 2017, Yom Hazikaron and Lag Ba’Omer fall on Sundays; Yom Ha’atzmaut falls on a Bank Holiday.
