Official School Opening

Posted by Dr Zoe Dunn on 12th September 2012

Rimon’s Official Opening Party on Sunday 9th September was a great way to mark the opening of the school and the beginning of the school year. It was attended by the Chief Rabbi, Lord Sacks, Mike Freer, MP for Finchley and Golders Green and members of Golders Green synagogue and the wider community.

It was an informal event where pupils, parents and staff were able to meet together and enjoy some fun activities, including a bouncy castle, which even the Chief Rabbi enjoyed, and face painting.

The school was officially opened by the Chief Rabbi who marked the occasion by blessing a pomegranate tree, which will be planted in the main school courtyard, once the building is completed in 2013.

Pupils left with a special goody bag as a reminder of their day and hopefully also had a chance to meet their class peers and teachers. Please take some time to enjoy looking at the photos in our gallery.
