Our Governors
The Rimon Local Governing Body (LGB) is a group of passionate and committed volunteers, dedicated to providing an excellent and nurturing learning environment for all pupils at Rimon.
The LGB is responsible for the governance and strategic oversight of the school, helps the JCAT Trustees to recruit the Headteacher and continually provides feedback and input to support all aspects of school life.
Each governor has an area of responsibility reflecting their specific skill set or interest. The LGB comprises a breadth of skills and expertise including law, accountancy, communications, education, dispute resolution, business, fundraising and religious leadership. Keen to improve and keep these skills updated, the governors also regularly attend professional governor training. The Governors volunteer their time and energy to promote the school’s vision and their aspiration for each child to receive the best education, in the best environment to enable them to reach their full potential.
The LGB meets as a full governing body termly to discuss the full spectrum of issues relating to school life. The LGB contributes to the school improvement plan and regularly oversees various aspects of the school through, for example, learning walks, subject link meetings and termly meetings of the Teaching and Learning Working Party.
The governors support JCAT and the Rimon Jewish Primary School Charitable Trust to monitor the financial performance of the school, set the school’s admissions policy and the school’s ethos. Members of the LGB also attend meetings with representatives of other JCAT LGBs, JCAT Trustees and the JCAT Central Team focusing on Safeguarding, Finance and Operations, Communication, Collaboration and Kodesh.
